An opportunity to get to know Basque rural life and the baserritarra trade; great protagonists in the farmhouses where, with great effort, affection and dedication, they offer us the opportunity to enjoy real gastronomic delights born in their vegetable gardens and from their animals. You will learn, together with your friends and family, the importance of caring for the land and animals, to guarantee quality food that nourishes us and keeps us healthy. An experience to feel nature, its cycles, biodiversity and animals up close, in a wonderful environment. 

BELAZE PROJECT 

Belaze, located in the Zenitaldekoa farmhouse in the Zenita neighbourhood, 1 km from the centre of Elorrio, works to conserve, modernise and enhance the value of a historical trade. 

They are based on ecological and sustainable production, always respecting nature and its diversity, trying to transmit these values to anyone who wishes to do so.

Children and adults alike, at Belaze you will have the opportunity to get to know the ins and outs of the baserritarra trade, its past and present, through an active journey through the farmhouse, the vegetable garden and the stable. An experience to feel and enjoy rural life through all the senses. 

I'm sure the little ones at home will be thrilled to see the farmhouse animals up close! The cows are undoubtedly the main protagonists of Belaze, as they give rise to the house's star product, yoghurt. At the end of the activity, you will have the opportunity to taste the yoghurt with the producers themselves.  

This experience will allow you to connect with nature, with the animals and flora of the environment. It will teach you to respect them. And it will allow you to get to know, live and feel the different aspects of the baserritarra trade.
