Picasso and the "Guernica"
Guernica" is not a war painting. We cannot see weapons, army or aeroplanes in it, and yet it is a work of art that has become a symbol of peace. Its visual power, resulting from Picasso's creative passion, has also made it an icon of art.
Descripción
As well as learning how and why it was painted, we will take several figures from the painting and relate them to different events that took place during the bombing. This way, we will not only get immersed in Picasso's creative process, but we will also experience some aspects of the air attack that may well have influenced the making of the painting.
